How long your hair should be
Aim for about a quarter inch of growth, roughly the length of a grain of rice. If the hair is too short, the wax may not grip cleanly. If you are between shaving and waxing, waiting a little longer is usually easier than coming in too soon.
What to do before your appointment
Wear comfortable clothing, skip heavy lotion right before the appointment, and avoid exfoliating the same day. You do not need to arrive with a perfect routine. If this is your first Brazilian wax, Jessica will talk you through the appointment before the service starts.
What happens during the appointment
Your appointment happens in a private studio inside Sola Salons West Long Branch. Jessica will explain the flow, check in with your comfort level, and keep the process clear. First-time Brazilian wax appointments are booked for 30 minutes so there is room for questions.
What to avoid after waxing
Give the skin time to settle. Avoid heavy sweating, tanning, friction, hot tubs, and exfoliating too soon after your wax. Jessica can recommend aftercare based on your skin and the service you booked.
When to rebook
Many clients rebook every few weeks once they are on a routine. Staying consistent can make future appointments more predictable because the hair growth cycle becomes easier to manage.
